Anything that promotes and inspires children to take responsibility from an early age in a fun and accessible fashion has got to be good news for any parent and if, at the same time, your children can also help to vacuum the house whilst they are playing that has got to be a considerable bonus.
The Buster Vacuum Cleaner for Kids, which is the brainchild of a newly graduated student of Lunds University School of Design, is just that – a functional ride on toy, with beautiful styling, that can be mobilised as a childrens vacuum cleaner at will.
Details concerning this fascinating device are a little scant at present. All I can establish is that the designer is called Tina and that this concept is part of her thesis project for none other than Phillips – who themselves are no strangers to consistently developing and pushing the boundaries of household technology.

The design appears to be based on a snail and I don’t doubt that it would prove most appealing to children. It will be interesting to see if any further details are released and whether the concept will actually be marketed any time in the future.
If there are any further developments I will, of course, keep you posted.
