Aircraft Parts Furniture HeaderHere at Thoughts from the Sidelines we have a particular soft spot for household items that are created by recycling “spent” technology. Of course, we have already covered household items created from parts of used F1 racing cars but now it seems that aviation buffs have also got in on the act by offering furnishings created from decommissioned aircraft parts.

If you have ever hankered after items such as a desk created from the rear elevator of a B-25 bomber, an coffee table fashioned from parts of an F4 Phantom’s afterburner or perhaps even a chair made from a A7 Corsair’s cockpit canopy, this site will doubtless be the answer to your wildest dreams.

Let’s face it, there are few people who can honestly say that they own a coffee table that has travelled faster than the sound barrier but, thanks to Motoart, you can now say exactly that about your own furniture should you happen to purchase their furnishings created from various parts of decommissioned aircraft.

Whilst a wide range of items are available from Motoart, I will try to offer up a few things here that will appeal not only to those with jet fuel in the blood, but to anyone with a keen eye for contemporary design – as some of the items offered are undeniably beautiful as pieces in their own right.
