F1TeamHeaderIf you are a fan of Formula 1 then you will doubtless positively salivate at the very thought of owning your owning and displaying parts from a Formula 1 car in your pad and, thanks to the Renault F1 Team, you can do just that courtesy of the Renault F1 Team Collection.

The concept is as simple as it is brilliant in its philosophy: why not recycle the used parts of F1 race cars by adapting them so that they can be used and displayed with pride in our living rooms. And Renault has done just that - from coat stands to lamps, salt and pepper pots to napkin rings, each item has been recycled and lovingly adapted from numerous parts of a real Renault F1 racing car.

As one would expect, these items are not especially cheap but, then again, I don’t doubt that any hardcore F1 fan would not consider the mark up on these items as being especially steep considering what they are. The salt and pepper pot, for example, formed from the gearbox oil filter housing, and hence being constructed from silver-plated aircraft specification aluminium will set you back only £1,100 (€1,518) which I personally feel is a rather reasonable price all things considered.

Other items include bottle coasters, fashioned from wheel speed sensors from the front an rear uprights at £500 (€690), a rather fetching exhaust sculpture – which I love - at £2,000 (€2,760) and even a framed racing suit, which is a snip at a mere £7,000 (€9,660).

And, if you have money to burn, you can also request bespoke items to be fashioned from the parts of one of their race cars and, on that note, I should advise you that I am already saving up for my very own Renault F1 paper clip.
