a2600 keyringPeople of a certain age will no doubt remember the old Atari gaming consoles of the 1980’s with great fondness. With graphics the size of Lego bricks, over 25 million of the 2600 consoles were sold up until the product was discontinued in 1992 – making it the longest production run of a games console in US history.

Now, in memory of this famous console, you can purchase a miniature joystick or paddle, which are exact scale copies of the originals, which are small enough to attach to you key chain. But, far from being just for show, these miniature devices actually have games stored inside and can be hooked up to a television, via a supplied cable, enabling you to play Atari classics such as Asteroids, Pog and Breakout.

These key rings are surely a must have for any retro-gamer.

More information on the products can be found here, and a detailed history of the Atari 2600 gaming console, for those that are interested, can be found here.

I loved my old Atari. It even had a wood paneling (no joke). I used to have hours of fun playing games on it. The last game I remember buying for it was Ghostbusters.
